My first solo flight - Take Off!

Hello dear friends,

It’s Sunday evening and the girls and I just came back from our trip to Cannes. We left Friday afternoon right out of school and we almost sang all the way over to Cannes. (It is not always the goal where we should seek fulfilment, but also the way to it). We spend the first night at Andre, Jildou and David. They live in a magnificent place and I thank them for their kindness and hospitality. The children played together all morning and I had time to read. After a fantastic lunch prepared by Andre, the girls and I left for the beach.

We parked the car next to the harbour, picked our “little” sailing boat and then we were off to the beach. Within no time we were running, playing and relaxing on the beach. The weather was great, people were actually swimming in the sea, Anna too, but that was not completely according plan. Than we tried to find the hotel, for anybody looking for “SASRadisson”, it is now the “Novotel”, luckily I looked up the address on the internet.

After a nice bath the ladies were ready for dinner at 8pm. We called for a taxi and he took us to the blvd. We walked the streets and small alleys and it was very cosy and romantic, especially by night! We had a lovely dinner. Before taking us back to the hotel the driver did a little D tour, by taking us a bit higher to show us Cannes by night, spectacular! It was getting quite late, so back to the hotel and to bed.

Today after a nice breakfast we went for a drive through the mountains ourselves, besides now we wanted to see the view by daylight. Than we drove back to the blvd, the girls hit the carousel and I enjoyed looking at their smiling faces (and my book), isn’t life GREAT!!!. We walked through the harbour (see pictures), looking at more boats, had lunch, walked the streets of Cannes a bit more and at 14.15 we were back at the car to start our trip home, 3 hours and 45 minutes later we were again in Montbonnot.

Our little trip was wonderful none of us could mention “one” thing that we did not like. The weather and the people were great, there was a good atmosphere. Nobody is going to take that away from us!!!

Give every day someone your best smile.

Kiss

Mina
